    SWEDEN (Albin Sture): Rasmus’ childhood best friend and crush. They have been in a relationship twice, both political marriages, by it has always been obvious they love each other...to everyone but them. Despite Albin’s aptitude to start dumb arguments with him, Rasmus plays into it because they both enjoy the banter. As far as Albin is concerned, he’s the only human being in the universe who is allowed to get on Rasmus’ nerves, and he will quickly chide anyone else for the same behavior. He has almost always had Rasmus’ back and deeply regrets the times he did not.

    DENMARK (Aksel Christiansen): Extremely turbulent relationship. There was a point in time at which he thought he loved Aksel, but they have never been healthy. Aksel did love him, but he ended up using him as a speed bump and a buffer for his own political causes. Certain terrible things prevented Rasmus from being comfortable entertaining civility with him post-union, but these days they have been managing to ride a fine line where as long as it doesn’t come up they can pretend they moved on.
