fortryllelsens dal

Extra bits of trivia that aren't big enough to be headcanons, per se, or are just really stupid and irrelevant.

• Rasmus' favorite cafés are Espresso House and Kaffebrenneriet. At the former he always orders a single shot iced latte with a cardamom bun, and at the latter a double shot iced latte with skolebrød. He goes to Kaffebrenneriet pretty much every morning, actually, specifically the one on Storgata.

• He uses Comfort's warm vanilla fabric softener in his laundry.

• Highly protective of his emotional support water bottle...it has a label with his name on it taped to it and everything. His full name. This is not just any Rasmus' bottle, and not just anyone may touch it, let alone drink from it. (ras swatting aksel's hand away in the background)

• When he was a child, his mother taught him that if he picked heather and blew its petals into the wind, they would carry messages to far-flung people or listen to his worries. He still does this; the wind and sea quite literally know his secrets.

• Ras collects jam spoons and latte spoons. He didn't really mean to at first, he kind of just ended up with multiple after he kept buying designs he liked, and now he gets gifted them.

• During the summertime, Ras will always have on him a spray bottle of water infused with the tiniest bit of a random essential oil so that it smells nice. He's miserable if he's too warm or thinks he might smell like sweat.

• He has an iPhone, but he listens to music the old fashioned way – on an iPod Classic, with corded earbuds. He has an armband for it when he goes on runs or hikes and everything. In a similar vein, he has no social media apps on his phone aside from Snapchat and Instagram, which he only opens to see what his friends have been posting.

• Very serious about his trash bins. Black bags for waste, purple for recycle, green for compost. Don't mix them!

• In around 1300, when Nidaros Cathedral was finished being built, the Holy See gifted Rasmus a silver reliquary necklace. The front of the large cross pendant bore an engraving of Saint Olav, and tucked into the locket part was a small bundle of hair from the saint. He wore this reliquary nearly every day for two centuries until it was stolen right off his neck during the Reformations. As far as he knows, it was smelted in Copenhagen.

• He's really into cherry print right now for some reason? Cherry print rabbit bed, cherry print tote bag, cherry print dress...

• Cosmica skincare his beloved! He uses their entire array of products but especially their lip balms and glosses.

• He always carries around little individual packs of Vestlandslefsa kanel lefsegodt that he snacks on and shares with anyone who also might be hungry.

• When Rasmus was born, he woke up with a solid gold ring in the palm of his hand, much too big for his little fingers. His parents attached it to rawhide string and he wore it around his neck until he was old enough for it to fit. He's not sure why he has the ring or where he could've gotten it from.
