heisann! i'm chels & you've stumbled across my lil corner of the internet! i operate this site as if no one were looking eheh but feel free to browse anyways
about the webmaster

heihei! i'm chelan and i'm the huldra of this valley (˶` ꒳ ´˶) you can also call me north, i respond to both!

i'm a self taught casual coder with some skills left over from the golden age of tumblr theming; this site was built from scratch and is designed to be a comfy throwback to the personal sites i remember from childhood (i'm a '96 baby!)

more about me... i was born in florida and i like to say i was raised there, but i grew up in georgia, if the distinction makes any sense! i have lived most of my life atp in atlanta, but spent lots of time in seattle as well. i consider the two my home cities, in fact i have zero sports loyalty to atlanta ദ്ദി ˉ͈̀꒳ˉ͈́ )✧

i am an admixture of ethnicities, i like genealogy & connecting w cultures so i could talk about it all for ages but simply put i'm puerto rican & american with dual canadian citizenship :p i speak english, spanish, & norwegian (bokmål, but i'm trying to adjust to nynorsk)

i'm a very skittish person & my presence tends to be ehm,, fleeting or awkward sometimes, but i'm told past the sheepishness i'm a pretty kind and positive person! i am super sentimental and easygoing, and a big #noticer... which is both a good and a bad thing

as far as interests go my biggest one is obviously history (♡ˊ͈ ꒳ ˋ͈) i've loved history for as long as i can remember, when i was a kid i annoyed the shit out of my classmates starting discussions w my history teachers all the time. my passion lies in american and nordic history though i also like latin american, polish, and catholic history!

my favorite country ever is norway!! one of my lifelong dreams was to go there one day and now i've been twice (and have plans to keep going back) ♥ i feel very strongly about medieval norway & have some fairly bold opinions on kalmar and the danish union but let me not go on that tangent... just know i would have been olaf engelbrektsson's strongest soldier. although i don't live there and may never will i love that place with all my heart and soul

norge aside i tend to fixate specifically on the deep south and pacific northwest regions of the united states, especially on georgia and washington. i know practically everything there is to know about those two. free cascadia btw

other interests hmm... aviation! i dislike military aviation, but i fw commercial airliners heavy. my favorites are delta alaska and eastern (rip). this ties into my love for travel, i thrive at the airport and on solo trips! i am always planning trips both for myself and for others. i have been to england, canada, mexico, denmark, norway, and soon poland; my other bucket list countries are sweden, faroe, and iceland

i am an avid roleplayer/writer of characters; i began roleplaying in 2008 and still do! the characters i have written the longest are my ocs, colin, catalina, and macen, as well as america, norway, and japan from hetalia and gilbert nightgray from pandora hearts. alfred and gilbert are actually the only characters i've ever cosplayed (besdies aradia and kanaya from homestuck but that was only once each). i began rping on facebook but have written on livejournal, tumblr, and even deviantart [DISTANT SCREAMING]. currently i only write over discord and with close friends

i can maybe think of other things to write here when i'm not so tired
